** Training Tip ** The amount of training that’s right for you depends on your age, sex, training history and lifestyle. Therefore over-training varies for each individual - Here's some tips on how to avoid it. 1. Set yourself achievable goals and train sensibly to reach them 2. Rest after a big race as you need time to recover - ease up on the training programme 3. Change your route, running partner, running pace and exercises from time to time - this can be refreshing & motivating! 4. Try something less intense like walking or yoga to give your body a break 5. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration 6. Eat well & time your meals for 30mins after a session - ensuring you store less food as body fat and more as muscle glycogen 7. If things start to become stressful and feel like a chore then you might be over doing things
